Modelling and simulation of a multibody system.

Modelling and Simulation of Multibody Systems at University of Trento, 2019.

The platform is inspired on the aVDS Advanced Vehicle Driving Simulator platform commercialized by ABDynamics. It contains 6 degrees of freedom (DoF) but, for the sake of simplification, the work was focused in the development of a 2D version that involves 3 DoF, instead. Nevertheless, the 3D representation was also eventually implemented.

The design process involved making a 3D model in Autodesk Inventor along with the mathematical definition of the multibody system in Maple and MapleSim both for the kinematics and the dynamics of the multibody system.
